PSA: This method is definitely more difficult than it appears in this video. Alot of the modest parts, specially the volume and power push button flex cables, are sealed downwards very tightly with adhesive and tin can easily exist damaged by whatsoever attempt to remove them.

  @Peter Robot You may have fabricated the mistake I did: what you lot're trying to remove where it gets tough (the big part) is non the copper office of the cable but the underlying metal platform to which the copper is pre-bonded. The metallic plate is easy to remove with a prying tool. If y'all try to remove the copper, y'all're going to cease up wrecking it (as I did).

If you're talking about the prophylactic gasket that has the contacts for the loud speaker, he didn't motion information technology over because the new LCD he purchased came with it already installed. If yours doesn't come with it, the gasket with the contacts comes out very hands and does not crave tape or gum to install into new frame. Explaining in case someone has this same result.

I had precisely this problem and ended up having to get the replacement LCD and frame kit, which fortunately comes pre-glued and looks perfect.
